I met my girlfriend on a dating app called Hinge, which is not usually how I go about looking for a significant other, but due to the pandemic social events like parties, clubs and bars are closed so I thought I’d give it a go. The conversation was rolling and I found myself more and more attracted so the time came to go on a date. It was hard to find things that were open and fun to go to so we decided on a place that we were both familiar with (Springridge Farm), which was an outdoor location. It was fun and I really got to know her without a screen dividing us. In the end after a couple months of FaceTime movie dates and walks outside, I asked her to be my girlfriend. She’ll tell you that I never asked, but I did eventually say it. Covid has been a challenge, but in the end I wouldn’t have met her if it wasn’t for it, so you could say it was meant to happen.
