Until you’ve felt the love of an animal, you’ll never quite understand what it means to lose them. I lost my 3 childhood pets within the span of a year back in 2018. Heartbroken doesn’t begin to describe how I felt. I never thought I could handle loving another animal, because I didn’t think my heart could take anymore beatings. My cat Millie and my dog Finn have proven that I was utterly wrong. They have brought me a sense of joy and peace unlike any other. Looking at their warm, happy faces reminds me on my worst days that joy will always persist no matter the circumstances. With their boundless love, Millie and Finn make being stuck at home feel like the most wonderful gift.
